HUNTERS WELCOME

Surrounded by National and State forests with two wildlife management areas nearby, Conconully is a natural headquarters for avid hunters.

 Lodging and RV sites are available along with early breakfasts, trail lunches, and good food and beverages, gas, diesel fuel, swap-out propane, hunting supplies, groceries, and an experienced vehicle mechanic. Hunting licenses are available at the Conconully General Store.

FISHERMEN WELCOME

Anglers delight in the lakes bordering Conconully. Fishing season closes October 31, 2006, and reopens Saturday, April 28, 2007.

 Conconully Lake (Upper Lake) offers rainbow trout and smallmouth bass. Water level rose to normal in 2006. A state-operated launch site with ramp, dock, and restrooms is available. Boats and motors can be rented at Conconully Lake Resort.

 Conconully Reservoir (Lower Lake) also has rainbows and bass, along with kokanee. The lake was completely filled in Spring, 2006. A primitive launch site is available with restrooms. Boats and motors can be rented at Liar's Cove Resort and Shady Pines Resort.

 Both lakes are stocked annually with rainbow trout by the Department of Fish and Wildlife. In addition, the Town of Conconully and the Conconully Chamber of Commerce purchase larger fish.

Adult and youth divisions. Prizes awarded.
